Alison Roberts
Commissioner
Dr Alison Roberts has been appointed for a 5-year term as a full time Commissioner, commencing 25 June 2024.
Alison has extensive experience at both board and senior executive levels in a range of industries, with a common focus on understanding and addressing complex public policy challenges. Alison’s career has spanned diverse sectors including primary care, population health, harm reduction, the wellbeing of children, aviation, infrastructure regulation and sustainability. Alison’s most recent role was as the Deputy Chair of the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation.
Alison has a PhD in change management from the University of Sydney, which focused on the implementation of evidence-informed policy and programs in primary care.
Alison was the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Airlines for Australia & New Zealand (A4ANZ), an organisation formed in 2017 to provide a single voice on behalf of the domestic airlines; advocating on key public policy issues including efficient access to infrastructure in the region.
Alison previously worked as an executive at the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, the peak body for pharmacists, and has also held the role of Director of South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network.
Alison is currently working on the Opportunities in the circular economy inquiry.
