Data source(s): | To be confirmed. There is no data source currently available which includes all required data elements to enable reporting against this indicator. The Child Protection National Minimum Data Set (CP NMDS), which is managed by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, collects data nationally that is relevant to this indicator in relation to children entering out-of-home care and children receiving care and protection orders. But it does not collect data related to indications of family violence. Further work is required to determine if the CP NMDS is the best vehicle to collect this information. Agreement to progress this work would sit under Children and Families Secretaries who sit under the Community Service Ministers. |
