What we’ve been asked to look at
This study was a review of the National Housing and Homelessness Agreement. It examined how well the Australian, State and Territory Governments have achieved the objectives, outcomes and outputs set out in the Agreement, and the suitability of the Agreement for the future.
The review also looked at the impact of social and economic factors, including the coronavirus pandemic, on housing and homelessness in Australia.

The Commission released an issues paper to guide people in preparing a submission. It set out some of the issues and questions the Commission has identified as relevant at the early stage of the study. Participants have provided evidence to support their views, including data and specific examples where possible.
The paper was released on 22 December 2021.
Submissions were due by 18 March 2022.
Report to Government and release
The study report was handed to the Australian Government on 31 August 2022 and publicly released on 30 September 2022.
