The price module extracts summary information for each importing country on the average change in duty-paid prices that would result from a change in tariffs under each reduction scenario. Such tariff reduction scenarios include the Girard, Swiss and Chinese formulas, and complete tariff elimination. Average percentage changes are calculated first by averaging the change across all trading partners within each HS6 product category, and then by averaging across all HS6 categories for a particular country. Changes in prices assume no change in trade volumes and are calculated using the power of the tariff. Summary data available are the average percentage changes weighted by import value and the unweighted average percentage price changes.
