National Partnership Agreement on Youth Attainment and Transitions
Paragraph 61 of the of the National Partnership Agreement on Youth Attainment and Transitions specifies that the COAG Reform Council (CRC) is required to prepare assessment reports for the following performance benchmarks specified in the agreement:
- enrolment of full time equivalent students in years 11 and 12, and 15-19 year olds without a year 12 certificate and not enrolled in school who are enrolled in a VET course at Certificate II level or higher [participation target]
- the proportion of young people in the 20-24 year old age group who have attained year 12 or a Certificate II or above [attainment target].
In April 2010, the CRC requested the Steering Committee for the Review of Government Service Provision to collate performance information for the agreement.
In accordance with the principals of transparency and public accountability outlined in the Intergovernmental Agreement on Federal Financial Relations, the Steering Committee publishes the performance information it provided to the CRC following the public release of the CRC's assessment report.
The Steering Committee's performance report in respect of the participation target is available below.
